Dietitian software pricing: which pricing model suits you?
Dietitian software is priced on two main models: some products offer a free starter plan and paid plans with unlimited clients, spreading features across the plans; others separate plans by the number of active clients. Which one is cheaper depends on your client count and on the features you actually use. This guide helps you work out your monthly cost in a comparable way.
Dernière mise à jour:
| Plans by feature, unlimited clients | Plans by client count | |
|---|---|---|
| How is it priced? | Plans by feature, unlimited clients: No client cap on paid plans; higher plans add features such as a website, SMS or appointments | Plans by client count: Plans are separated by active clients; core features are usually on every plan |
| Free use | Plans by feature, unlimited clients: Often a limited free plan | Plans by client count: Often a time-limited free trial |
| Who benefits? | Plans by feature, unlimited clients: Practices with many clients who use all the extra features | Plans by client count: Practices with a known client count who want to plan cost around it |
| Limits to watch | Plans by feature, unlimited clients: Even unlimited-client plans may cap appointments, SMS or list sends per month | Plans by client count: When your clients exceed the plan limit you move up a plan |
| How does cost grow? | Plans by feature, unlimited clients: You pay for whichever plan contains the feature you need | Plans by client count: Step by step as your client count grows |

The short answer
Free plans are a good start for dietitians with few clients, but watch the monthly caps. For an established practice, the fairest comparison is the yearly total you would pay for your own active client count.
A plan with unlimited clients can be expensive while your client count is low; a plan priced by client count grows step by step as your practice grows.
Try it: write down your active clients and how many plans you prepare a month. Those two numbers are usually enough to see the difference between plans.
Work out the cost per client
Dividing the monthly price by your active clients is the easiest way to compare pricing models in the same unit. With 50 active clients on ₺699 a month, each client costs about ₺14; the same 50 clients on ₺1,800 a month cost ₺36 each.
Factor in annual billing discounts too, but try the product with your own workflow for at least a few weeks before paying for a year.
Foodlex plans are Starter ₺299 (10 active clients), Professional ₺699 (50) and Clinic ₺1,499 (200). Meal-plan generation is unlimited on every plan; annual billing gives two months free.
Questions to ask when comparing plans
Two plans at the same price can contain very different things. Before buying, ask: Is there a monthly cap on appointments, SMS or list sends? Which plan includes the AI features? Are calories and macros calculated from a food database or estimated by AI? Can you record lab values and body composition? Are there drug–nutrient or allergy warnings? Can you export your data?
A feature on a marketing page and a feature that works in a trial account are different things; test your three most important features.
Free plan or free trial?
Free plans have no end date but are usually capped by clients, appointments or sends. Free trials give you a paid plan's features for a fixed period. If you will work with few clients for a long time, a free plan fits; if you want to judge a product under your real workload, a trial tells you more.
During a trial, start with a sample record rather than real client data; do not enter health data before completing the notice and consent steps.
