Are generated plans sent to clients automatically?
No, Foodlex does not send a generated meal plan to the client automatically. Each plan is saved as a draft first. You review the meals and portions, make any changes and approve the plan. You can then download the approved plan as a PDF or email it to your client, and every delivery is written to the client record’s audit log.
Can I use my own recipes?
Yes, in Foodlex you can use your own recipes: you can build your own recipe library, add your saved recipes to a meal plan or use them to replace suggested meals. After the draft is prepared you can edit the meals and portions, and you always do the final review before approving the plan. An approved plan can be downloaded as a PDF with your practice name or sent to your client by email.
Can I create plans for different dietary requirements?
Yes, in Foodlex you can create plans for different dietary requirements: client profiles include options for Ramadan, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free and low-FODMAP diets. When it prepares a draft, Foodlex takes into account the preferences you set in the profile and the client’s saved details. The generated content is a draft: you need to check its suitability for the client’s allergies, health conditions and nutritional goals before sharing the plan.
Does my practice name appear on the PDF?
Yes, in the PDF of a Foodlex meal plan, your practice name and your name appear at the top of the page, using the practice details and logo from your settings. A small Foodlex note appears at the bottom. Before you create the PDF, check your practice details in settings and the client’s email address.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export your client records and meal plans from Foodlex, and each client’s data can be exported. The privacy notice explains retention this way: when a dietitian deletes a client, the client’s record, measurements and meal plans are permanently deleted; when a dietitian closes their account, the account and all client data linked to it are deleted.
Can I import my existing clients?
Yes, you can import your existing clients into Foodlex from an Excel or CSV file. Upload the file and match its columns to the client fields. You can upload a file of up to 2,000 rows and 5 MB at a time. Before the import starts, you can review which records will be added and check for any errors, so you can start working in Foodlex without re-entering your client list by hand. Foodlex runs in a web browser, so there is no software to install on your computer.
